Mario has been touted “the best kids magician in the world!” by David Blaine and was the opening act for the most recent 2018 David Blaine live tour.

“The Magic of Making,” explores magic through the lens of the Maker Movement. This renaissance in hands-on making has brought groundbreaking DIY tech tools to our fingertips in an affordable and accessible way. Magicians have the ability to use these tools to make objects move, just as magicians of yore used clockwork automata. Mario demystifies DIY tech like 3D design, 3D printing, and microcontroller programming, and shows how they can be used to enhance the classics of magic and explore infinite new possibilities. He will deconstruct some of his own signature creations as well as guide his students to adapt tech into their own styles and bring to life ideas they may have been fostering.

Mario has traveled the country and world with his own unique style of DIY robotic magic. He has vetted the available tools and methods and has a firm understanding of how tech can be used in the magic community. He would love to share his knowledge for the first time in a course of this nature, and serve as a guide through the often-overwhelming world of DIY tech.

You’ll receive a link in your email before class time.

You must also have a working webcam, microphone, and a table at which to sit during the lessons as well as all of the necessary materials. Download the web browser Chrome if you do not have it already.

No skill level prerequisite. This course will be valuable to all levels of magic skill and all levels of understanding electronics.
