Benjamin Joseph Lubrant wrote a number of magic books and invented a range of novel effects over the course of his long performing career, and this booklet focuses on one of his best creations — a baffling multi-phase torn-and-restored-magazine routine that comes straight from his club act. Briefly described, the cover and first page of a magazine are removed and torn into pieces, only to be instantly restored, but for a corner of the cover that the magician has seemingly accidentally dropped. The corner is retrieved and seen to match the missing section of the cover, which is promptly vanished alongside the stray piece. The magician retrieves the magazine, only to find it bearing the cover once more — everything is restored!
