This is another book that contains a huge amount of material. Book one is entirely on card magic, and has some very clever items. The effect by Edward Victor (page 51) is worth the price of the book. Book two contains magic that is more mechanical in nature. Effects with candles, an improved drawer box, a clever vanishing glass of water, a new way of doing the bill in lemon where the lemon can be examined at the start, and more. Book three offers invaluable advice on working with children, arriving at a clients home, working with animals, ventriloquism, and more. The last section is a who’s who in magic, containing short biographies on many of the leading magicians of the time.
